In this painting, I wanted to capture the lion’s presence up close. Painting it in black and white brought out the textures and strength in its face, while the golden eyes became the spark that brings it to life. For me, those eyes hold power and intensity which draws you in, demanding attention, yet also invites a quiet pause to feel the lion’s silent majestic power.
